As usual, when the âgoodâ kid does something bad, they get a far worse punishment than if the âbadâ kid did the same thing! Closest explanation I ever heard for that was âit wouldnât do any good to punish the âbadâ kidâ (i.e., they wouldnât learn anything from it anyway). I know this can cause lingering resentments, way into adult years!
