Reminds me of Connie Willis’ short story "Ado"* in which the PC concerns by various factions leads to a high school’s production of Hamlet to be pared down to a single line.
Asimov’s Dec 1988. Collected in “Impossible Things” and “The Winds of Marble Arch.”
I don’t really recall meeting anyone who is offended because someone celebrates traditional Christmas, although I have met some who insist that we have to change the name of various holidays. I know it is the wrong time of the year for this but MERRY CHRISTMAS. So there.

Somehow I doubt that’s the only thing that’s going to change. Mrs. Freeman looks like she’s had more than her fill of PC.

What gets me is PC attention given to ONE person who complains about some ridiculous issue, that is important only in their narrow mind.
