I remember in my elementary school, only 4-6th graders could join the chorus. One time, when I was in 3rd grade, in music class, the teacher had us singing. I always sat near the front (because I’m short, and also so that the other kids couldn’t do anything to me right in front of the teacher). When we finished the song, the teacher looked at me & asked if I was in the chorus. I said no; I’m a 3rd-grader. She walked over to her desk, opened her attendance book, jotted something down, closed it, & said “You are now!”
I used to love to sing until some jerk invented the tape recorder and I got to listen to myself sing. I don’t even sing in the shower now! BTW, this strip needs to be larger. It’s quite small compared to the others on here that I follow.
To control vibrato, gently yet firmly place one hand on your diaphragm. Apply steady, yet gentle, pressure, and with practice, you’ll learn to control the vibrato.

I love listening to the grandkids singing…one knows all the words, the other stays on key. Between the two of them they sound so sweet!

I don’t recall having to audition. If you didn’t sing very well they called you an alto
