We did that in elementary school for a presidential election one year. I thought that the outtcome was unfair, because we were given a sample of how to vote and the opposing person’s name was on it, and that is not who I voted for.Reminds me of when it was not uncommon to give someone a bottle of whiskey as a bribe to vote a certain way. I think people are more subtle now.
We had a mock election in my class, but only for local positions. My dad was running for Alderman. Because I was very unpopular, kids wouldn’t vote for him. Yeah, I learned how politics worked that day.
