This was the era where ‘they’ decided that it was unconstitutional to coop the mentally unstable in institutions, so they were released to the streets to fend for themselves. NY State had a big brouhaha about it, but release ‘em they did. How many have been killed by these un-medicated sorts since then? A demonstration of the fact that “no good deed goes unpunished” or “the road to hell is paved with good intentions..” My poor mother….. If only ’the voices’ could have convinced her that those pills were good for her……..

Magazine on the table did a couple of 180’s.

In one panel, the book has 240 pages, and in the other, 236! The table changes size by a millimeter! The air temperature goes up by two degrees!

Mother Nature can be rough on us.That’s why humans modify our local environment with clothes and shoes and plumbing and houses.

The concerns of the “free-range” are immediate. They do not have the luxury of planning ahead more than a day. Survival must be addressed minute by minute.
