one of my sons didn’t want to go to bed when he was told to (9:00 PM) at 9:15 i went to check on him, he was asleep on the floor in the doorway to his room

I’m not sure Dad’s doing a very good job of calming her down so she’ll be ready to go to sleep!
Security is Dad’s job. Wrestling the kids is Dad’s job. Jollying the children along to get them to cooperate is Dad’s job.
But calming them down? Nope. That’s when we hand them back to Mom!
