All generalizations are false…including this one.

He’s right. The human evolutionary experiment is a miserable failure. Greedy, smelly, prone to absurd religious believes and eager to abuse anyone who doesn’t. I eagerly await the big meteor that will end it and start over. I have high hopes for slime mold this time achieving something.

Really? A generalization I’ve always heard about city people is that they work hard to not see things so that they don’t have to get involved when someone asks for help. On the other hand, country people are always keeping an eye out on their neighbors to the degree of being all up in everyone else’s business.

Yeah, when you bump into a dangerous or crazy person, there will be someone around to help… the dangerous or crazy person!

I’m a city boy, and I’ve never thought of country folk as dangerous or crazy by comparison. More likely to own shotguns, sure, but they have more non-human targets to aim at.

I’ve lived in big cities with neighbors who took care of each other, and in the country where people ignored horrible cases of child or spousal abuse. People are people wherever they live.

“I didn’t think it could happen here!” That’s why it happens there. The prey doesn’t see it coming.
