I remember those anti-apartheid protests well; I didn’t take part in them.

Nothing to be proud about. As far as the news tell us every day you should consider protesting against USA, the only Country in the world were if you are a kid and you do your homework well but YOU ARE BLACK you are arrested…

I’ve read the strip for years, so I know the characters; but I couldn’t help thinking it might be difficult for newcomers, when some characters are similarly drawn. Rick and Rev. Sloan are just similar enough, even I had to look twice today to realize that Rick hadn’t run right down to the mission to link arms.

Many years ago, a reporter interviewed some highway patrol cops, and, among other questions, asked, “What is the main reason you stop motorists?”Several answered, “Speeding”.Many replied, “Driving too slowly”.And quite a few responded, “Driving exactly the speed limit”.So, now, 40 years later, do you think they feel the need to justify their actions?

Here in New York, a real crime is being an ex-tennis player. Especially if one of your parents is black.
