Paige Metcaf's family has Lucy, a crocker spaniel who thinks she is a labrador. Lucy loves water, their boat, and her tennis ball. She leaps at least 5 feet to retrieve her ball when it is thrown into the lake!

Lucy the cocker spaniel is a water dog. they were also bred to be retrievers. There are a large number of the working breed dogs that most people don’t know about. Bred in various countries for the same tasks, The standard or full size Poodle is one.

Reminds us of Alex (the original Marley) when he carried down his water dish to tell us it was empty!

One of our dogs Penny was like that. She was a very fussy eater and could leave her food in her bowl for ages until she decided to eat it. When she had eaten it she would pick up her bowl and carry it from room to room until she had found one of us. She would then dump the bowl in front of us and with the most mournful look on her face she would proceed with what we would call “the poor starved doggie act” where she would lick the empty bowl all with a big sad look on her face acting as if she hadn’t been fed for weeks. All this just minutes after she had finished her dinner .
