I used to use the flash light to retrieve Half-Time’s toys from under things. Then he’d get all excited by the “Shiney Thing” and we’d get into a new game. BAK!
There’s usually more under there than just that one lost object. The last time I had to pull out something under the desk I also found several paper clips, a pen, 32 cents, and a ton of dust bunnies.
Every time I have to fish dog toys out from under a piece of furniture I swear that I will never buy another furnishing that a tennis ball can fit under!
My dog has a few favorites. One has an LED light that, when the ball is jostled enough, turns on and flashes. It is her best thing ever. And neither Dad nor I remember the direction it was thrown in last to figure out what it is under, behind, or between. We didn’t realize so many places in our home could hide a toy until we had Chloe. Our other dogs didn’t do fetch, and while it came up a few times with the parakeets they tended to be squawking up a storm. When they heard my voice and then saw my hand at the end of the piece of furniture they came to me. Balls, not so much.

Could fix the problem if you had bigger balls.

Yeah, i don’t like furniture with small gaps at the bottom that are just big enough for pet toys to end up underneath.

That opening looks like a great hidey place for some kitties. Always fun to reach in and have some furry paw grab your fingers!

Jackson Galaxy strongly recommends kick plates.
