Never imagined a teen also wearing shorts along with socks and sandals.

Hey, I have seen them wearing shorts like those. Of course, they were hanging to their knees, showing their drawers, butt…..

Some friends of mine were going to an “Old Time” party and wanted to know what I looked like when I was young. I gave them my HS yearbook. They thought it was funny. Be glad when their day comes!

We kept a leisure suit jacket that belonged to my late Dad. It has been worn a few times as a costume. We’ve got a family picture that is obviously from the 70’s – wide flowered ties, tie-dyed look double-knit bell bottoms, etc. Even we see the humor in the fashion now.

70’s? I remember that my son had a whole closet full of Aloha shirts back in the 80’s.

As Heidi Klum says “In fashion, one day you are in, the next day you are out!” (I watch "Project Runway with my wife, so I hear that line every week.)Because fashion is so subjective, it is always going to at one time or another become “out” so-to-speak. So, my motto has always been to simply wear what is comfortable and what fits my body correctly. Fortunately, in my line of work (professor), it is pretty easy to throw on trousers, a button down shirt and a sport coat or tweed jacket…. from just about ANY era, and you look fine. I have tweed sport coats from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and 10s… and some of them even now have elbow patches because they needed them. I interchange them all the time. Now, also know that I recognize that women have a helluva lot more difficult time because of the greater variation in their clothing.

Good clothes are like a good woman! Keep ‘em long enough and when they age they’ll come back in style again…

Regarding today’s comic, one must assume the manufacturer made more than one shirt of any given style; unless of course, you are buying only exclusive one off creations!

Not gonna happen with most Pluggers…
