We once went to an event in Ohio and they had a big corn fest. They brought in sweet corn by the truckload, set up big 55 gallon drums full of water over propane burners, and boiled it in the husk by the gunny sack full. Dumped it out on long tables with tubs of butter and salt shakers. You peeled back the husks to make a handle. I think I ate 11 ears!
