Two people walk into a convenience store, each are buying a bottle of water. The first person is charged $1, the second is charged $2.50. Government officials find out and there is outrage, “price gouging”, “discrimination”, “it’s not fair” they say. An investigation and prosecution ensue. Two people go to the hospital, guess what. Where’s the outrage?
