When I close my eyes, I hear Johnny Burnette’s “Dreamin’” as done by Vanessa Williams. But, only the Vanessa Williams you get after the hormone treatments have started.
How about an episode on the Lawrence Welk Show on which two gospel singers did their version of “One Toke Over the Line,” the old drug song by Brewer and Shipley?Available on youtube.
Actually, I can hear T-Rex on this one. There are some songs that are fun to hear done in genres totally different from what they were originally done in, and can still sound just as good.
But going from hip-hop to opera (or back again) is a bit of a stretch. Though I suppose I shouldn’t knock till I try it.
