if you’re looking to set yourself up for a fall, you should go around telling people how you plan to remain sane. then if you go crazy later on, oh wow! everyone will say ‘remember how truly intent he used to be on remaining sane? how ironic.’

This idea could actually work (financially, not artistically.) I bet Caliban and Ariel had all kinds of crazy cartoonish adventures that could be used to sell children’s cereal before the event of “The Tempest”.

The only problem with this idea is that I can’t help but think it would be about as well received as the Star Wars prequels, which in many ways had the same sort of approach.

But said, I’m game for prequels of Hamlet, Julius Caesar, and Twelfth Night (my personal favorites).

@CoyotyThat would be awesome: “The Merry Adventures of Yorick, the luckiest man in Denmark.”.
