I worked retail, and the Christmas music used to start right after Halloween; Thanksgiving was nothing more than a road marker between the 2 big retail holidays. In 2009, the World Series extended into November. I was in the supermarket the day game 6 was going to be played. The sound of Christmas music just seemed totally inappropriate. On the other hand, one could argue playing baseball in November is completely wrong.

I don’t want to hear any Christmas music in the stores until AFTER
the World Series.Baseball and Christmas just don’t mix.

Anyone who has ever worked in a Mall knows what hell is going to be….an eternal loop of saccharine Christmas music playing forever in our psyche !

Stores don’t have any room for Christmas stuff until they sell off the creates of Halloween candy that has been there since before Labor Day.

After yesterday’s strip, I’m wondering if I’ve gotten the names wrong – this guy with Vicky IS Prince Albert, isn’t he? (The world wants to know…)

I like to believe that the Xmas sales will come earlier every year until they’re finally set at Xmas time.

Around here we get Halloween decorations right after “back to school”, which starts in July, then straight into Christmas!
