ian: you make sure the cars in neutral...
Jonas:...lock these in place...
...put it in gear...
...and away you go!
Ian: boy, would that save detroit or would that save detroit ?
Ellie: id certainly pay a little extra for that feature.
I think someone actually built a prototype flying car back in the 50s, but it suffered the same problem as the Amphicar car/boat thing, it wasn’t much of a car or a plane.
Good Morning Crew,
The RAF (Rodent Air Force) could very well save Detroit, but I will bet that is one high priced option. AVAILABLE ON SELECT MODELS. ARRIVING SOON AT A DEALER NEAR YOU. Cost….. A PIRATES RANSOM!
I love old Popular Mechanics magazines and similar magazines from the 40’s and 50’s. They all assured us that we would be zipping around in flying cars by the 70’s. The stories often featured pictures of the Dad figure taking off to go to work, wearing his hat which all men wore back then. He would be waving to the Wife/Mother figure with the boy and girl waving back. You know…the nuclear family. And away he would fly………..Now, everyone is asking Well, where is my flying car? Actually there have been many working proto types made. Honest to God FLYING CARS ! There haven’t been put into production because as Dr. Toon hinted at, let’s face it….we can’t drive down a divided road with traffic signals without banging into each other. What would happen if we were all flying around in the sky Back to the Future style? Scary to think about…………
Flying cars – the worst idea that people still keep dreaming of…Just imagine if one of those things ran out of fuel. Or, what would happen during a thunderstorm during rush hour. It’s not like you can just pull over to the side of the road.Forget the The Jetsons and Star Wars - the prequels its hard enough to control standard air traffic much less millions of potential bombs.

I’ll make a decision after I see the landing.

I’m not sure I’d like the fuel costs to keep that thing flying.
Good Morning, Crew!

Ask Carl Edwards about flying cars on the Nascar track some time. It’s always the landing that gets them.

Indeed, the thought of having a flying car is great, until you consider that everyone else would have one, too…

Well, if everyone else had a flying car, at least all those idiots would be off of the roads I drive on.
