Blasphemy!

Farscape (1999–2003) is an Australian-American science fiction television series, produced originally for the Nine Network. The series was conceived by Rockne S. O’Bannon and produced by Jim Henson Productions and Hallmark Entertainment.1 The Jim Henson Company was responsible for the various alien make-up and prosthetics, and two regular characters (the animatronic puppets Rygel and Pilot) are entirely Creature Shop creations.

Although the series was planned for five seasons, it was abruptly cancelled after production had ended on its fourth season, effectively ending the series on a cliffhanger. Co-producer Brian Henson later secured the rights to Farscape, paving the way for a three-hour miniseries to wrap up the cliffhanger, titled Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars, which Henson directed himself. In 2007, it was announced that the creator was returning for a web-series,[citation needed] but production has been repeatedly put on hold. A comic book miniseries was released in December 2008 that was in continuity with both the series and the hoped-for webisodes.

In February 2014 it was reported that a screenplay for a new Farscape movie was in development.23 At WonderCon 2014, Rockne S. O’Bannon confirmed to Nerdacy4 that a Farscape movie is in development but in very early stages..

It got old pretty quick for me. Wrong age group.

At least it gave ALF an excuse to come out of retirement.

I love Farscape. it was so much different than any other show out there then or now. because is had Jim Henson puppets that where characters that were written excellently. I even have the seasons on DVD.

I, too love Farscape, enough to come out of ‘lurking’ mode and comment (but I’m no troll). I have finally wised up and got Netflix, and am about a third of the way through the 2nd season. I enjoy it tremendously.

Farscape did get pretty weird, but it had some very good episodes. My favorite “body-switching” episode from any series is the Farscape episode “Out of their Minds”. Very, very funny. An interesting link here; I recognize two “Stargate” actors in the above picture, and Stargate SG-1 did another very funny body-switching episode, “Holiday”.

I watched the first five episodes. The characters hated each other too much for me to continue.

On IMDB Farscape got a rating of 8.3 out of 10, and that is about as high as ANY series in the history of such series. To me at least, it was very well deserved. I can not think of any of the rproductions on tv that had such high production values that just about every episode was every bit as good as the best SCI-FI movies are!! And the people are just as beautiful to watch (Oh man, the beauty of the women!). Heck, even the bad guys were fun!!
