Sad to see religions, whose written words were originally intended to help us get along with each other, being selectively parsed to reinforce biases and hatred.
Note that the fundamentalist christian homophobes are closely aligned with ISIS than with the secular ideas enshrined in the Constitution. Somehow, that’s not too surprising.

This is a great strip! The point is that in America we are putting gays as a class unto themselves on a pedestal and condemn christians, but in the middle east they are pushing gays off of roofs and there is not a peep. What hypocrites we are. Don’t gay lives in the middle east matter, or is it just those in america? Don’t all lives matter?

The point here is that America has better human rights. Iran hangs gays. ISIS beheads everybody or rapes them.
