The whole “man-this” and “man-that” (man-bun, man-purse, etc.) seems to me to just be more evidence that men tend to be afraid that anything they do might be misconstrued as feminine. Which in itself is evidence that women are still thought of, deep down, in a fairly negative light. You never hear “woman-crewcut” or “woman-backpack,” after all. (Though yes, plenty of people do get weirded out if a woman presents as “too masculine.”) The anxieties we have around gender—yeesh.

@agresticI always get a kick out of their insistence that democratic-voting people of color only want "free stuff” when all statistics clearly point out that the largest recipients of said “free stuff” are conservative-voting white people in solidly red states. I guess it’s the old “keep the gubbment out of my Medicare” syndrome.…………………………………………………………………………………..One should do a better job of statistic checking, or is it the old, anyone can twist statistics towards their argument? Yes whites are the largest recipient of Medicaid, but by percent of each group they are not. Check out the following statistics:………………………………………………………………………………………http://kff.org/medicaid/state-indicator/distribution-by-raceethnicity-4/……………………………………………………………………………………..http://kff.org/other/state-indicator/distribution-by-raceethnicity/

@agrestic: Sorry I don’t pick sides, I merely chose to point out facts when one side of an argument steps out of Debate rules and spreads falsehoods, twists the truth, or resorts to name calling. As for health care I will in this case tell you what my choice would be, The Canadian Health system model. Raise the money via a Value Added tax that would affect the entire population proportionally with their spending. No exemptions, we would here alot of squealing across the economic spectrum but everyone would have a stake in it.
