On a happier note… my past dog loved frozen peas… But if I gave him a leftover home made hamburger… he would leave the lettuce… I dont know how he managed to separate those shreds of lettuce from the bread roll and the meat pattie… but none ever passed his lips I believe.Cheers,Paul
Reckon I was destined to become vegetarian, as the appeal of burgers and steaks was always what I put on ’em. Same goes with the veggie ones now, but I assure you my various dogs have liked them too, as when accidentally overcooked they become yucky hard, but perfect edible canine chew toys! :-)
Daughter, SIL and dog live in Downtown Portland Ore. That dog has found: a slice of pizza, a ham sandwich, a bagel, a bowl of mac n cheese, a dinner roll, an ice cream cone (unmelted), a cupcake and a chicken leg. All on the sidewalk, and attempted to eat as fast as possible, before Daughter could grab it or dig it out of her mouth! Now finally she has learned to “leave it”, The kitchen floor is still fair game however. She is a mixed heritage rescue from a kill shelter in Callif, brought up here on a Mercy Flight.
I’ve tried some of that vegetarian stuff a few times (whenever I saw a really good sale on it), but I just couldn’t get into it. The fake burger patties didn’t have much flavor at all, and the foodless sausages were awful.

My mother’s dog loves my soya meat substitutes … it makes me worry about the ingredients!

Even if it were a great commercial for veggie burgers, you still wouldn’t catch me eating them.
Good morning, Crew!

The only thing that my last dog wouldn’t eat was lettuce.

I’ve seen dogs devour straight up veggies; they would catch that veggie burger before it even hit the ground.

Daughter & husband ate the cupcakes, Labs ate the wrappers they came in. You might call those little wrappers…film for their brownies.

pshhh My dog ate veggie burgers with aplomb. Any dog worth his whiskers wouldn’t turn up his nose at that deliciousness. Louis must be ill.

A cat litter pan is a candy store to a dog.

The last veggie burger I tried tasted like grass that had been processed through a cow and harvested at the back end.
