I am guessing the cat landed in Reggie’s yard by using the slingshot to pop balloons, after crossing the fence. So that cat is on a mission. And you are the target, Reggie!
Well – let’s be fair here: for a dog (let alone a basset), Cleo’s performance is extraordinary. But from a cat’s point of view she still has a lot to learn.
With all her talents, I thought maybe Cleo was in the trials for the real, Tokyo ones….. but they’ve been postponed till 2021.
Even on GoComics, and as far as I know, it’s no different on Sherpa… ie, in the

Cleo has fine gymnastics form, for a basset hound….
You’d think after all that TV watching and pizza, she’d be out of shape.
But maybe toting a bazooka, chasing squirrels, and even reaching across Claude for popcorn, keep her limber and fit.
Or maaaybe… it’s cos…. it’s a cartoon…. and that’s just how it works in cartoons.
If that’s the reason…. how can I get into one?
BTW… to those of you who read the comments on the 2020 Ballard Street, (which is currently featuring the 2003 Ballard Street… )
The other day I commented there on what I believed to be a very early appearance of Fly-Kitty-Fly, before he owned any mechanical flying devices …
I posted a couple of his later strips, one with his XTI propeller, and one with his little plane.
I said I’d also found another early one, but declined to show it because it was soon to appear for us in the 2010 Ballard Street pages, where we comment on “Cleo and Company.”
Well…. this is it.
Another glimpse of the young Fly-Kitty-Fly, I do believe… back when he was still just figuring out aeronautics,
and jerry-rigging any sort of equipment he could find, to try to get himself airborne.

She has a sling shot and she’s not afraid to use it. Proceed with great caution.

Cleo will beat the cats at Triathlon for sure – they won’t even have started yet when she crosses the finish line.

wondering if the cats are racists? seems to me like discrimination against the pooches…
Nighthawks Premium Member over 4 years ago
they would be racists if they discriminated against other cats…..interspecies discrimination is acceptable.
after all, humans definitely discriminate against cattle, pigs, sheep etc.

It takes a whole lot more than that to impress a cat. Cleo does rock that outfit, though.

I’m surprised that the evil cat in the center didn’t destroy the signs that the dogs have since he thinks that he is the boss of the judges.
