I am a baseball fan. I can recall watching a Red Sox game on TV many years ago when Manny Ramirez and Willy Mo Pena were on the team. Manny was not a small man. One of the truly elite right-handed power hitters of his time. I was watching in the dugout when Manny, after getting a cup of water, turned around to find himself staring at the broad expanse of Willy Mo Pena’s chest. Manny Ramirez flinched and did a double-take, and this was for a teammate he saw every day. Willy Mo was enormous, and his strength matched his size. He hit, without doubt, some of the hardest and longest home runs I have ever seen. He could hit ANYBODY’S fastball. Unfortunately for him, he also could not recognize anybody’s curveball. Once the pitchers figured this out, they had a reliable way to get him out and his career never really caught fire.

Suddenly Carl appeared before Benson and it all came flowing back. The danger, the excitement, the lawsuit.

“Private Mills” Sounds like the makings of a sit-com to me. Starring Mary Lou Bassett and her 50KW smile.

StelBel was enlisted to illustrate the package for a popular Basset breakfast. And with Mary Lou Basset’s autograph on the front, who can resist?

I’ll bet Kibbies and milk taste just about as good as that similar breakfast cereal.

Nice tribute cereal box. Yes, Private Mills is much more superior to that general one.

I sure hope Cleo made as much money off that cereal box as some of those sports guys did! (Guess that “dates my age” huh? Wheaties doesn’t do that anymore, do they?)
