Meanwhile… I did a similar dance just the other day.

It was a slightly smaller can, I think… 28oz of tomatoes… but it fell from a shelf right about my head level.

For no reason at all! Just the orneriness of inanimate objects.

My dance was a bit more stationary… I think I was too stunned to move.

My foot felt numb but it was painful, if that’s possible.

The can hit my instep, not my toes. I thought it was going to swell up, and be bruised… but an hour later… NOTHING.

So glad… but now I don’t know whether I have remarkable powers of recuperation… or I was just a big baby when it fell.

Instead of peach pie, I think I’ll celebrate ML’s birthday with a margaRITA!!!

You gotta watch out for those canned peaches in heavy syrup. They’ll put a dent in you if you drop them.

What an amazing day this is turning out to be! First I was allowed to sleep late, and then I find my name! And then I find there’s a party going on, too. Woo Hoo! Nighthawks, you are the best! Especially Clara’s advice about fresh Peaches being better. I think Claude will never want canned peaches ever again. And, it seems that our Cleo is forever being the smart-alec. I was howling in the aisle. LOL.
