Yes, because if you understood politics, you’d know there’s a whole branch of it based on treating women and minorities like garbage and the whining when anyone objects.

It is much better than being actually correct. Since herd approval is all that is really required, just going along with the herd and foregoing the need to actually understand anything is much faster and simpler. Resolving all differences by silencing all opposition is acceptable within a herd, where being an outlier means possibly lagging behind the herd in the event of a predation incident. You want to be at the center of the herd if possible, using the remainder of the herd as a living shield. You don’t have to outrun problems, just be quick enough to see that somebody else becomes fodder.

I’d much rather be politically incorrect like the was it was before that ridiculous movement.

Newsweek coined the term years ago in a cover article. It simply meant it had (finally!) become unpopular to treat women and minorities with open disrespect: that which was socially the right thing to do had become the politically right thing to do as well.

Now it’s become a pejorative that actually backfires on those trying to use it as a put-down—like all bullies everywhere they’re belittling themselves in trying to belittle others and the irony is that they don’t even see it.

It’s also offensive to those of us who do know something about politics.
