Can’t blame the guys at the oars; they’re all below decks and facing astern.
But at least was to each other…sort of like watching people at a restaurant.

They put the boat up for sail.
The worst part of it was, the two guys on the bow were texting each other.
They got wireless service out there?
If I see one more texting gag in today’s comics, I’ll stop reading them. On my phone.

What an oarful accident!
The sail is on the far side of the mast. They were drifting astern on a falling tide, and the steering oar is lost. The oarsmen never have a view, except of the sail, which they would have been pushing against with no apparent wind.
