As I said last night, I’m finally back from the cabin. We had a great time, ate too much, had a bonfire almost every evening, laughed and played a lot of euchre. Next big event is Christmas.

Now I have to say I live alone so I am a slave to the cats. I have in fact removed most of the interior doors in my house. The only doors that remain are the doors to the closets. main bathroom and guest bedroom. I have a curtain I put up for my bedroom door if I have company. My cats and dog will throw themselves against closed doors and have a knack of getting shut on the wrong side of a door so I removed them.

OMG…leave it to Lily to stir up the most beautiful pictures ever! Good choice, Graham. Wonder where Liz and Phil will bunk tonight?

Happy, Happy, Happy and everyone else. Thank you for your kind words. I usually give back as good as I get. I have embarrassed my ex-husband more times than he cares to think about. However, yesterday I was so stunned that she actually said those things. I smiled sweetly and said we could talk about anything. I am glad I conducted myself with class and decorum, but in two weeks when they meet again, I plan on going and in front of witnesses promise her that she will never see my face again, and hope that will make her happy. Happy, I am the same as you when it comes to comments like the one you overheard. My mom always reminded me that it takes all kinds to make this world, but sometimes it is hard to deal with certain ones.As far as my babies are concerned, if I don’t have them I might as well live out of my truck. As I type this I have a 15 pound, one eyed, problem child laying in my lap complaining that I am typing rather than paying attention to him. He has been really loving since I got home yesterday. He tries to make me feel better. Now tell me how in this world could I just give them up?This too shall pass, but I am going to be angry and upset for awhile. I appreciate knowing that I have people in this world that support me and understand how I feel. Thank you each and every one of you!!!

@Ppyfss: You showed great strength of character, restraint and class. The effects of those cruel words will lessen before the next meeting. By then you may not even wish to acknowledge that witch.And, of course, you can NOT move to a new place without both of your cats, i.e. family. It’s unthinkable.
