I have 3 dogs and a cat. It’s not only OK to wear fur, in my house it is mandatory.

We used to have a Golden Retriever / Chow mix. Best dog I ever had. However if you visited me in the morning I’d ask you, “How do you like our hardwood floors?” By afternoon, I’d ask, “How do you like our orange shag carpet.?”

Our last two dogs have black fur. At least it matches some of our clothing.

Both my wife and I could make that costume idea work, considering the fur our two Siamese cats shed on a daily basis!
