I lived in Arkansas in about 1952. Some preacher convinced his flock that the world was ending. So he had the flock sell all their property, give the money to him and move to a mountain in the Ozarks to await the end of time. Said preacher went on ahead to prepare the way. Last I heard these folk were still on the mountain.
