I guess it’s damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

Fifty years of climbing mountains, etc., has caught up.

Happens around the time of a milestone birthday. Give it up.

A great hike for the stouthearted among us is Bushkill Falls in eastern PA. Be prepared for a stairway with 1267 steps.

And you know that you’re over the hill,When your mind makes a promise that your body can’t fill.

I’m not as good as I once was, but I’m as good once as I ever was.(takes step) " Ok, that’s once. That’s enough."

That awkward moment when you realize that your ego is writing a check that the body knows it can’t cash.

I’m definitely a plugger. It’s a cruel joke of old age. I just have to tell my head to shut up! Farside99 – you made me go back up and look. Funny.

I’m pretty sure my head and body are going to be in complete agreement here…

The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak, or over weight.

Now I “hike” Costco, CVS, Ralph’s (grocery store) the Hardware Store, Michael’s (craft store), and the parking lots in between. With a cane. I’m ok with that.

FlyerTomSounds like Washington Monument, except now they won’t let you walk it any more. It was a great way to see the commemorative stones.

Flyer Tom: back in ‘69 I went up the Mist Trail in Yosemite, over 2,000 steps, with a friend and fellow ’Nam vet, who’d lost both legs at the hip in ’Nam. He did it on his hands!

    That’s what I call, “tough”.

I like things to be in black and white! It’s when things are grey I have to focus more sharply…
