Roger: I can't believe what a fool I was. I actually believed that stupid Wally Millions infomercial! I actually believed I could make money without lifting a finger! Well, I've learned my lesson. Starting Monday, I'll be lifting these fingers like crazy. Andy: You're going back to work?! Roger: Better- I'll be day trading stocks on the internet. Andy: About your belief that you were a fool... Jason: Ok, Dad, the computers hooked up in your bedroom.

Another Martha S. but I guess that was inside trading.
At least in Roger’s time there are jobs. Here in our time where I live, news reported another air craft company very high massive lay-offs 50% one years and 70% 2nd year, guess where the jobs are going?

I wonder how many people have spent serious money on those get rich quick schemes. I used to see ads in magazines even back in the 70’s and I’m sure they were around before that. I was silly enough to send away for info on some envelope stuffing thing that could be done at home. I thought, hey , yeah…I could just be doing that while watching tv in the evening. I got the literature and sure enough, to get MORE info I had to send them…..can’t remember how much but it was several dollars. THEN, they would send more the stuff I needed to begin my little enterprise. I didn’t take it any further. But I remember thinking that if that ad I responded to got even a few hundred people to send the money requested, somebody was going to make some serious change. I’m sure there are ways of making money at home. I would imagine a person might actually have to do some real work though.

Manitobaman have you also heard of a phony check being mailed out for secret shoppers. We got one and there was a lady living east of us who was on the news that received one and actually went and cashed the check. I can’t imagine a bank doing that, well she got scammed. Us I checked first to and ask the bank, didn’t have the phony check with us, to see if they would investigate to see if real without cashing it. They felt like us it is a scam and sure they would check. End of the story check got trashed.
