We have obedience competitions going on in Maryland, one just past and at least two more coming up in November. I know this is how the human feels…I wonder about the dogs.
Good morning my friends.-—————I took my Yorkie mix to obedience school. Training was going well until she discovered that the instructor had treats. She would sit and look up at the instructor and ignore all commands.-—————-God bless you all.
You cannot train a dog to sit by standing in front of him and repeating a command he doesn’t understand. You have to show him what you want by pulling upward on the leash and pushing down on the rump, then rewarding him when he does sit down.
