Cul de Sac by Richard Thompson for December 20, 2015
Transcript:
Alice: I'll hand you the ornaments to hang on the tree, Mom! Mom: Thank you, Alice. Alice: Ew! What's this wad of stuff? Mom: Petey made that in preschool out of five rolls of aluminum foil. Alice: Ha ha! What's this one? Mom: That's the wacky Christmas elf that I made! Alice: Ooh! Mom: You made that! Remember? Alice: Oof! What's this brick on a string? Mom: Daddy made that. Mom: We hang it on the back of the tree to counterbalance all the other ornaments. Dad: Can I have the brick?

Such an artistic family! —And practical, too. As is the brick, so also is Peter the anchor….

If anyone is looking for a last minute holiday gift (or just one for yourself) I might suggest getting a copy of “Team Cul de Sac: cartoonists draw the line at Parkinson’s” It’s a wonderful collection of tributes from a whole assortment of artists and cartoonists to Richard Thompson’s art. I know it’s been out for a few years but I just discovered it myself and it’s great!http://www.amazon.com/Team-Cul-Sac-Cartoonists-Parkinsons/dp/1449419666
