There’s good evidence that many dinosaurs had feathers.

The non-bird dinosaurs didn’t die out because they were sub-standard in some way but because they tended to be bigger than their flying cousins. When the comet hit it crashed the ecosystem, so that there wasn’t enough food to support large life forms. If you have enough food in an area to support say two tons of vertebrate that’s about half a (non bird) dinosaur, but thousands of mice or small birds.

And there would be plenty of dead plant matter and insects feeding on it, so if you were small and ate insects (or were an insect yourself) you could do very well. In addition, birds could fly away from the crash zone and in search of food.

Crocodilians survived, even though they are large, because they have very small babies who grow only slowly and can live on insects for decades if they have to.

Yes, Nab can’t even get the name of his hoax correct. It’s the Paluxy river, big among mindless creationists during the 70s, but now known (by all except Nab, apparently) to be a hoax. Or maybe he does know, but is just in on the scam. Those who posted thanking him for the “information” have some studying to do. Real science, real paleontology, and real history are interesting. Far more interesting than taking myths literally, which is the modus operandi of the three-year old. An excellent start is Donald Prothero’s book “Evolution: What the Fossils Say and Why it Matters”.

Yes indeed, the mammals will inherit the earth. I’m also pretty sure the rats will still be here when all traces of humankind are extinct…

Diabetic neuropathy will do that to you.”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Don’t make jokes about something like that, if there is the slightest possibility that someone with Diabetes will read it.-—Diabetes (not type 2, which is curable with diet and excise,) is not a death sentence.)Diabetes Type 1, also known as ‘brittle,’is incurable, and impossible to control, even with maximum effort.Sorry, neither curable (so far) and both controllable…I speak from first-hand experience. because I am the mother of a brittle diabetic. It is a tragic disease. It can cause amputations of arms and legs and early death.Sorry to hear about your child’s struggles with the disease. I was diagnosed at 12, 54 years ago so far. Occasional problems, of course; but, I never let the disease control me. A positive attitude is important, so please get your spirits up…There is some hope on the horizon that something new called ‘islet cell transplant’ can help, but it’s probably too far down the road for us to able hope for.Not new, been in discussions for some 20-30 years so far; hopefully, something will come of it someday, the sooner the better for sure…So. have fun with your jokes, but please don’t be so flippant about anything as deadly as Diabetes, unless you have walked a mile in those shoes.

I have walked many miles “in those shoes” and I am not being flippant…

Dang! And here—all along—I thought the world was only about 90 years old.

    Not even in dog years?
