It was a tough decision. We worked really hard, and we’re proud of the strip we created. Thanks again to all who’ve been following along and supporting Maria and her gang!

Yeah I was a really tough decision. We love Maria and the gang but other projects just kept making it harder and harder to find time to do Maria properly. But we are sticking around on Sundays!

What’s with all the strips I read going to Sunday’s only?

John and I thank Universal and gocomics for keeping us going this long, but we’re in a different world with different media- and there are a lot of wrinkles that have yet to be ironed out for content providers to make a living the way they did in the old media.

So sorry this happened. I looked forward each day to reading this strip.

John and Scott: Will miss the daily strips but certainly understand your reasoning behind having to give them up. Also very glad that we can at least enjoy Maria on Sundays.

Why is everyone leaving?! Wah. Well…at least there will be Sundays…

That Maria sure looks like a younger version of Rita.

The good thing is there will be other good strips to take her place. How about, what other comic strips are doing, start over and print Maria’s Day Classics. There are thousands of readers who have not seen the early strips. Including me.

Never mind my last post. I went back and read all the strips from the beginning to where I first started reading them August 7, 2012. I remember that was the first strip because I thought it was so funny I emailed it to my granddaughter, named Maria, Who is 24 years old and a medical doctor. I thought she would find it as funny as I did and she became an avid reader of the strip just as I am. Thanks for the fun times.

Probably those darn child labor laws had something to do with it.I’ll miss the dailies, but once a week is better than none.

I just recently discovered Maria’s Day & have enjoyed it. I’m sorry to see the daily strips end, but I am glad I’ll still be able to enjoy the humor on Sundays. Thanks, guys!

Another candidate for “classics”?

I concur with everyone else on both points – glad the Sundays will remain but sad to see you go from the dailies. Of all the ones I get in my email this was one that made me laugh the most consistently.

I’ll sure miss your dailies! Yours is one of the best cartoons!
