I have never liked the trend of live action movies derived from classic animated cartoons. These movies are changed so much from the cartoons we loved as to be virtually unrecognizable. I simply do not believe that today’s movie writers are as talented as the cartoon writers back in the day were, which is a sad commentary on the current state of Hollywood.
They’re tempting the nerds again with a second movie that finally brings in the Misfits. So I guess it will be the third or fourth movie that they bring in the Stingers?
And Eric Raymond’s female now. What quota did they have to fill out to pass that?

Yes, the box office for the opening of “Jem and the Holograms” was NOT truly outrageous. (Well, someone had to say it!)

From the reviews I have seen so far, that one would be the waste of a Netflix rental, much less the price of theater tickets.

And let that be a lesson for what happens if you rewrite the premise of an established story line and try to market it.
They should have learned that from the remake of Rollerball…

Don’t accuse the writer, accuse the Marketing dpt with their ‘focus studies’ . They are the ones who choose the subject of the film.
