That’s why I go through ink cartridges so fast — printing things to snail-mail to my 95-year-old mother. She still thinks most people aren’t online, and just HATES it when an ad or article refers her to a website. At least my 70-year-old sister finally got hip. Or at least hep.

All it takes is an EMP or a CME to wipe out our electronics . ALWAYS save a hard copy. -———@mikefive and Gordon Long: Someday we may have card readers or chips in our brains to store all the digital stuff.-———Have a great weekend my friends.

My guess is that a large percentage of the pictures taken these days won’t be looked at; the number of pictures taken is simply too large. I remember shooting no more than six 36-rolls of 35-mm film on a two-week trip overseas. Now can I easily take that many over a couple of days (and who has time to delete the marginal ones)

But nobody’s going to scrape the electrons off an SD card and use it to glaze greenhouses like they did with all those glass plate negatives from the Civil War!
