Good grey and drizzly morning to all. Had dinner with Hoppy/Chirios family last night then went to their house. He is such a sweet kitty! It was great to nuzzle him and give his head kisses again. I took some pictures but forgot to bring the posting code with me so will have to wait til we get back to post one.
Going into Portland today. I want to go to the Fabric Depot – we shall see how much restraint I have. Tonight is a dinner cruise on the river.
Tomorrow LROS is taking us on a tour of the fruit loop.

I put it only on Facebook. However, I googled 2014 Halloween Burns Street Forest Hills NY and there were some videos available. Perhaps the 2015 fiasco is on-line now. I may keep the house dark in future!!!!! Wonder if any neighbors had to take out loans to pay for all those goodies and entertainment. I spent maybe $100 but got big discounts at CVS. It just ain’t worth it as I don’t know these kids or their adult escorts.
OMG Chesney…you never learn, do you! La Lily could once again be within hearing distance so I expect to see you tomorrow in the ER getting sutures or worse. Heck, you deserve it with your BIG MOUTH. Come to think of it, Jack, you could end up being his roommate.
Queen meant Wednesday, she has lost all sense of time because she is on Vacation! LOLWe are going east along the Columbia River to the Bridge of the Gods and crossing over to the Oregon side, Driving to Hood River and doing the Fruit Loop (orchards, fall leaves, and pumpkins) then back to the Char Broiler for lunch, then down the Oregon side to visit the waterfalls, then back over to the WA side to our house and dinner. Phew.
Dabdoob got to come back home yesterday! Here are pics of my little boy, knocked out in his window shelf, with his shaved little butt. So happy to have my Dabdoob home again!
As much as Dabdoob’s brother missed him, he was still awfully leery of him when he came home. No hissing, but he was scared of him, and didn’t want to come near him, doesn’t like the smell, I imagine. Poor Dabdoob smelled so much like dog from being at the animal hospital, and he can’t clean himself to get rid of the smell, so I’ve been wiping him with a warm damp washcloth to help get rid of the hospital smell, as well as with the waterless cat shampoo sprayed on the washcloth. He has successfully pee’d in the weird kitty litter he’s not used to – he has to use it for a while (recycled newspaper in pellets). But so far no poo action – I’ve upped his laxative dose from what I had been giving him previously, to help with the first bowel movements, since the anesthetic and pain meds can also cause some constipation. I have to give him 2 different pain meds right now – a pill once a day, and a liquid in a syringe squirted into his mouth 3 times a day. The liquid is a form of opioid – so he acts all loopy and doped up, almost instantly after I give it to him. Not sure I like what it does to his behavior, that dopey opium-like state, but if it helps him feel better so he can heal, then I suppose it’s ok for a few days. Muezza (his brother) is slowly coming around, and actually was sniffing his face inside the cone today. Dabdoob has gotten his appetite back with a vengeance, though! I feed him, and he just follows me around wanting MORE, and tries to eat his brother’s food, too! That’s a huge difference from before the surgery, although more in line to what he was like prior to all the issues we were having with him. When we visited him at the hospital on Saturday, they were trying to get him to eat, but he wasn’t really into it. Until I started feeding him with the food on my finger – once he started, he gobbled it all down. He was SOOOO excited to see my husband and I when we visited him, he purred and purred and wouldn’t stop rubbing his head against us. So so so so sooooo happy he’s home again, and he’s happy, too (although some of it is PROBABLY from the drugs – lol).
Went to the huge fabric store LROS goes to. OMG! it’s like Home Depot with fabric. The girl took me right to the catsection and I just loaded up my cart with nearly every single pattern. Then I went to the prequilted broadcloth area. They had colors I’d never seen before. Loaded up a second cart. I could just hear the cash register dinging over and over and over. By the time she was done ringing me up, I was sure I was going to regret it. But I was wrong – nearly all of it was sale so the total was totally under what I expected.
We were going to go on a dinner cruise. We didn’t make it. we spent a full TWO hours getting lost, not finding street signs, not finding out how to cross bridges, in bumper to bumper traffic, etc. We finally found our way back. I had a Subway sandwich and Brad had left over Chinese food. We’re not going to even try to find the place again. We know when we’re licked.
