CRREAK Lupin: Tommy, what are some ways outdoor cats are beating the heat? Tommy: Naturally, Lupin, my Woman calls me inside during the hottest hours. Tommy: As for the rest of the time.... Tommy: I made a fart in your bushes! Elvis: I wasn't done with my report! Lupin: Elvis, it's a magic box filled with wind, what else is there to say? Tommy: Would you look at the size of this water dish?!

Since it’s freezing here this morning (Arizona mountains) this is wonderful to look at. Ahh, to be able to complain about the heat again!

[Big Loud Laugh] Love Puck and The Woman with their wild, humid hair! And Lupin’s rolled up shirt sleeves and umbrella drink. And Tommy’s fort-in-the-bushes. (It’s cold here, with snow, and this strip makes me feel a whole lot better.)

I have to admit that I prefer summer to winter. I have a little radiator style heater in my bedroom so I can keep the furnace set at a lower temperature for the rest of the house and one of my kitties always curls up beside it.

I gave in and bought a portable A/C this past summer, my 2 Maine Coon x boys plonked themselves in front of it and didn’t move for over an hour. Having lived both here in the Pacific NW and on the prairies I agree with Puck, it’s definitely the humidity :-)

This will be a pretty quick heat wave, the BCN Christmas season starts Thursday! Luckily the kitties live in New England, we’ve actually had some years like this, ha!
