It works, and it’s safer than any of the pharmaceuticals the corporate folks put out, just listen to all the warnings on almost any drug ad on TV. And it’s only been safely used to treat folks for a couple millennia. AH, but the same guy who gave us alcohol prohibition also got MJ listed as schedule I, which it isn’t, and fostered “Reefer Madness”.

I still have reservations about “recreatonal use”, but as a medicine, again, it works, and find the right strain for the conditions, THC vs CBD levels for example.

According to my science magazine they may eliminate the THC side of Marijuana and still keep the medical effects. There is another chemical (can’t remember the name) in it that is just as good but no high. Of course many may not like that. But if you want to drive and stuff, it would be beneficial.

The thing I dislike about marijuana is….seeds and stems.

Here’s what people smoke when natural cannabis is unavailable.Synthetic cannabinoids act on the same brain cell receptors as delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the mind-altering ingredient in marijuana. Psychotic Effects: extreme anxiety, confusion, paranoia—extreme and unreasonable distrust of others, hallucinations—sensations and images that seem real though they are not.

Euthanasia for all people who can’t deal with reality would end the costly, and annoying, war on drugs. And cut down on the need for many prescription drugs.

Why not move to a Red State where they don’t have anyone on drugs or welfare, like Kentucky or Mississippi or Louisana?

Bruce: I grow my own, and have it tested; I know what’s in it, and the THC/ CBD balance is significant for the treatment of different symptoms. BTW: there is an individual difference on what works best for different people, including combining use with “traditional” pharmaceuticals. It depends on your conditions, and I have several, so the same medicine actually doesn’t work the same on every day. With fibromyalgia, storm fronts and weather play a significant role in altering symptomology, and what meds work best that day.

Needa chuckle: it is the CBDs (and other cannabinoids) that help with muscle and nerve problems, that do NOT get you the “high” of the THC. For PTSD, the balance and effect of THC is important. BTW; for medical use, I use far LESS MJ than most folks using it for “recreation”, which IS why I still have some concernes, having been in law enforcement, about that “recreational” use. (Like Duii for example.)

Also, for those mentioning all those other compounds in MJ, they have a synergistic effect that does NOT happen with the efforts to synthesize MJ, which focused for years just on the THC. The CBD components are now getting much more attention, for like seizure disorders etc. ONe must remember that MANY drugs big pharma puts out are also COMPOUNDS, not single active ingredients.
