There are two drawers: One for things that should be stored with high humidity, the other for things that should be stored with low humidity. The lettuce should have been stored in the high humidity drawer, with a little water added.. Looks like someone put it in the low humidity drawer. Some people use the word “crisper” to refer to the low humidity drawer.
