I knew many people who felt that WWii were still current events. Bless all our veterans from every era!

I had uncle age 93 from Army days lived with the horror until he died. I know the name he talked of but not sure I can spell right. 4th of July was nightmare to him or living through the war as with most Veterans. He is passed from home accident.

That look says, “Not on your life, Boog.” I bet Great-gramps will be taken for show and tell with the book in hand, and I am looking forward to it.

My last link died last year, he’d been on Juno Beach (Canadian) the day after D-day. The rest: parents, parent’s friends, friends’ parents… all gone now.

Heck, I was born in 1948, and it’s still “current events” for me. I guess it will be current events at least as long as there are still DC-3s in active use.
