They’ve learned to do that after one swig of “blinky” milk.

Don’t get me started on those dates.I picked up a jug of distilled water the other day.Its label had two things that made me laugh -a sell-by date, and a disclaimer saying it was gluten free.

I keep wondering how we survived our childhood when ketchup and mayo just lasted until they were gone!

    ‘Sell by’ and ‘Good Until
’ are too different things. Usually, the ‘sell by’ is about a week in advance of the ‘good until
’ date. But ‘smell by’ is just as good ! ! !

I am amazed at how long food lasts nowadays. I remember that milk lasted about a week, and white bread was a brick in about 3 days, moldy in a week, etc, etc.I just have to wonder how we can ever rot upon death after consuming all the preservatives that we do.

When I was a kid, mustard, catsup, pickles, soy sauce, etc were never kept in the fridge and nobody died of food poisoning.

After eons of allergies my sniffer doesn’t work very well, so I make my hubby sniff stuff. I can tell by the face he makes
and stuff is usually bad.
