I think some people like to go to reunions to see how much better they are than other people. I like to go just to see what they look like now … and see how much more hair I have than others.
They mostly treated me like crap then, I’ll be damned if I want to see them now. I’ve kept up with the one’s I wanted to….wait…..I haven’t kept up with any of them!
I didn’t go to our 40th (I escaped in 1971).They told me I really missed the nice send off they gave for me.They thought I was dead.I thought most of them were dead.At least we were the Grateful Dead.
I am still in contact with my best friend from high school. He is on the reunion committee and keeps me informed of the latest soiree. I have never felt a need to go to any of them. Between the cost of air fare, hotel reservations and the price of the event itself, I see nothing to be gained. But, at least, they won’t assume that I’m dead.
