I have never understood the desire to stay up past midnight on New Year’s Eve. I’ll be in bed by 10:30 and it will be 2016 when I wake up. Didn’t like it when I was younger, either, so it’s not a “old” thing.
New Year’s Eve? – I’ll tell you where the REAL excitement is: getting up at 1:59 am on Daylight Saving Time changes – and watching the analog Atomic Clocks go full-speed at 2:00am! :-)
I will be fortunate to stay awake until 11pm but then thinking of end of year waiting for fireworks and gun shots. To those celebrating New Year’s Eve stay safe.

In answer to your question Jason: Parents are. Because we’re worn out from raising YOU.

I get off work at 10:30 PM, so it’s no problem for me.
