How's untangling the Christmas lights coming along, sport? I found the part that plugs into the wall! That's referred to as the male end. It is? Why is it called that?! Um, perhaps prongs would be a better word for it. Then what's the send called?!
I was in a class with a Korean PhD candidate who couldn’t follow when the discussion drifted that way (pipes, not wiring). I had to make an oriental obscene gesture under the table to bring her suddenly up to speed. Not my usual behavior, incidentally.
