I had a friend who always asked anyone coming back from a camping trip, “How far did you get before remembering the tilet paper?”. He generally got a sheepish, “How did you know?”. I flumoxed him with, “I always keep a roll in my backpack, it doesn’t weight that much.”
Thomas & Tifffany ConnollyI will invest up to a pound of my packload on stuff which I don’t care whose responsibility it is, I want to be covered. That includes not just the half roll of toilet paper (flattened for space), but basic first aid and survival gear (in 35mm film cans), waterproofed matches in a rigid waterproof container, etc.
