    Wrong Wrong Wrong!!! When you’re worried, that’s when you need comfort the most! Comfort Food, Comfy clothes, a blankey, a teddy bear….

    I agree with Boyd. True, you can’t get comfortable at a time like that, but it doesn’t mean that the hospital has to go out of their way to make the problem worse.

    I’m fairly sure that it’s a cost issue not a comfort issue, the seats they provide are strong and sturdy but also cheap. I do agree that if you’re worried about someone that you’re generally uncomfortable no matter the seating.

    Hospitals are not designed for wellness. They are designed around sickness. I agree with Boyd, they ought to work on things like that.

    There’s a difference between emotional & physical (dis)comfort — if Alan were a little more physically comfortable then the emotional discomfort might not freak him out so much …
