This strip is dated 2006, but Julie has posted that she tries to keep the Pennys mostly in the 90’s… the occasional cell phone notwithstanding…. when postage was only about a quarter.
Not sure what it was in 2006… but 40 cents was probably odd then too.
Does anybody else remember when, if you tucked the flap inside the envelope instead of sealing it, you could send a card for a penny less? When you were mailing Christmas cards, this was a big deal.

Unless you’re mailing a package, first class is enough.

The only time I use priority is when I’m sending the Christmas cookies from Norfolk, VA to my cousins in Ocala, FL. Letter isn’t worth it.
