Lew, one of the attorneys I work with is a very high-energy, always-in-motion, Type-A guy. I was genuinely surprised to learn that he’s also an avid golfer.
Perhaps he golfs specifically as a break from his normal pace, but I always picture him on the course playing speed-golf: “swing the club, chase the ball, swing the club, chase the ball”, all the while on the phone with his secretary, dictating three pages of changes to the brief he’s working on. (I know he’s left 20-minute voicemails to Word Processing over past weekends, delivered from the ski slopes.)
Gophers and moles hate castor oil, pepper juice( See Jerry Baker), ammonia, lemon juice, and the lousy things stil come back.
A little broken glass or small rose branches with the thorns on them inserted in the mole run will at least rid you of the little buggers since they have no clotting factor and bleed to death from cuts and scratches.
The gophers you can pot with a .22 until you hit the first couple, then they simply never some up while it’s daylight.
Groundhogs are far worse for the ground but much easier targets.

Frisbee golf is the only sane form of the game.
